I used the services of Ian Whitfield-Tinkler when he worked in the convenience store sector as a Store Development Director and I have never met anyone who has been able to get such a good cost deal out of a refit – I know of one occasion when he was managing a refit which involved the franchise of a major retail brand and which had to be done in a very short space of time. The brand owners said they would have to project manage the work because only they had the experience to ensure it all complied and had negotiated great cost deals on everything. However their budget was 6 times higher than what Ian believed he could get the same job done for, so he said he would have to take full control. The job was done at that lower cost and at a better quality than the retailer could normally achieve and the large multiple ordered a full review of their refit spending and methods of working, which resulted in them making major savings in their stores as well.
Ian has been working on other similar work but has had lots of retailers ask him to come back and do the same job for them. That is why I know that Think Retail Solutions will be a tremendous success – because so many people in retail equipment have been waiting for it for so long.
